Borderless Manufacturing Alliance to converge global innovations with Shenzhen manufacturers to kickstart a new era of personalisation in manufacturing

19th Nov 2015 – Borderless Manufacturing Group, a subsidiary of Borderless Healthcare Group will join forces with co-founding members of the alliance including public listed Serial System Ltd, Skyworth Mobile Communication, Transtek, China Mobile Telecommunication Association, Shenzhen Smart Health Industry Association, China International Healthcare Promotion Association, Borderless Australia, Borderless Israel, etc to kickstart a new era of manufacturing 5.0.

A website www.madeborderlessly.com is set up to connect world-class innovations and a global pipeline of value-added services such as smart technology add-ons, artificial intelligence, content, protocols and service providers to manufacturers in Shenzhen. The Borderless Manufacturing Alliance will first focus on Healthcare Internet Of Things (IOTs) by converging global healthcare standards like Australian protocols with some of the world’s most cutting edge healthcare software developers and Shenzhen’s manufacturers to create a suite of O2O home-centric healthcare solutions.

More than 90% of the 200-300M elderly people in China ages at home and this represents a huge consumers group with disposable time and money and an appetite for health and good living products and services via on-demand home-centric consumerism. The traditional blood pressure machines, weighing scales, blood glucose monitors and OTT boxes will soon be inter-operating with sensors, data and content cloud. The new kind of Smart Home is not just a simple automation; consumers will soon be able to enjoy a form of personalised living where the development of new IOTs is synced with content and services customisable for the consumers. The whole continuum of care will be seamless from the use of bio-intelligent avatars to high-tech caregivers. The current pure data driven wearable and IOTs will soon need to be paired with personalisable content and service platform to win sustainable adoption by the consumers.

The unprecedented combination of software, hardware and global standard protocols will put Shenzhen’s manufacturing eco-system on steroids to spearhead the new disruptive phenomenon – Manufacturing 5.0. Borderless Healthcare Group will be setting up its second Borderless Innovation Centre in Shenzhen in Q1 2016 to support the operation of the Borderless Manufacturing Alliance.
